Vibrant After Fifty -Strengthen Your Growth Mindset

Here is one one of my favorite quotes by William James: "The minute a man seizes to grow, no matter what his years, he begins to grow old". This is especially helpful for us who are in the second half of life to keep in mind.  The emphasis is on growing and in my shows I have been talking about the value of developing a growth mindset.

Yet by the time we have been around for fifty plus years most of us have gotten settled in our thinking and developed routines for living.  The question to ask is: Am I growing or standing still? Most of us will probably realize that there is still a lot inside us that is yearning to come out.  This is the time to take action to bring forth our potential, create satisfying relationships, and learn to be fully in charge of our life.  A growth mindset is the key that keeps us from seizing to grow.
