     In order to live vibrantly after fifty we have to take action.  In the show today, July 30,2009 we developed three action steps:
    1. Start small, just do something.
    2. Do it because it matters to you
    3.Your new habits will become rituals

    Any time we make changes we experience two opposing emotional forces struggling inside us. One will keep pulling us back to the old comfort zone and the other is pushing us forward to what we want for ourselves.  The important thing is to not be scared by the pull backward but just stay on course and move forward.

    The desire to be  happy becomes a major yearning after fifty. There are two things we have to do to attain happiness: 1.develop goals for our lives that give us meaning, and 2.
    Use our minds to the fullest.

    Vibrant After Fifty-Strong Boundaries Create Positive Energy

    In order to live vibrantly after fifty we need energy.  An important way to increase energy is to strengthen our boundaries. Think of boundaries as imaginary lines we have established around ourselves. Imagine yourself as being in the center of a circle.  The purpose of the imaginary line is to let others know what they can or cannot say or do around you. The benefit of strong boundaries is having the flexibility to let positive people into our lives and keep toxic people out. Our boundaries reflect on our  character.
     
    Today's show (7/23/09) explores boundaries as being our Circle of Confidence.  When our circle of confidence is small our boundaries are weak.  In order to live a life filled with vibrancy after fifty you want to have a large circle of confidence which is reflected by creating strong boundaries. Listen for the challenge for the week.  By taking action  you will be strengthening your level of confidence.
