I have been attending the Association of Oregon Counties annual meeting here in Eugene and much of talk in the hallways is about upcoming super majority in the state legislator and what that will mean for counties. The breakout sessions are covering everything from the possibility of a Behavioral Heath Reinvestment Program in Oregon to mimic what has been done on the criminal justice side that has reduced prison usage and recidivism to the endangered species act. We can also talk about local issues like what the best use of EWEB's buildings on the river should be.
