Many people in boxing circles had speculated for months, if not years, that HBO would be tapering down its boxing programming to zero at some point. After the recent announcement that HBO would no longer be consistently invested in boxing, those people were more or less proven correct.

This week on Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio, CompuBox operater Aris Pina joins fellow fight history fanatic Patrick Connor in remembering some of HBO Boxing's greatest -- and worst -- moments. From HBO Boxing's beginning, clear on into its peak and the proliferation of Pay-Per-View fight cards and onto much more, HBO has been played an essential role in boxing for 45 years. It deserves some remembrance.
