Though many view Gennady Golovkin's middleweight unification bout against David Lemieux as a mismatch, the fight is still compelling because it features two hard-hitting fighters and all but guarantees a knockout either way. But in addition to its raw appeal, the fight happens in a division with a lot of history behind it.
Boxing history just happens to be our thing.
Usual hosts/boxing historians Aris Pina of Compubox and The Fight City's Patrick Connor will be joined by Lee Groves, boxing historian, author and contributor to The Ring magazine and RingTV. And the topic this week, in honor of Golovkin-Lemieux, is the greatest middleweight battles of all time, and the greatest middleweight punchers of all time.
