History of the Metal Madman The early years The Metal Madman received his first drum set, a Gretsch, at the age of 7 years old. After outgrowing the original kit, he moved on to a Slingerland, and finally settled on a Tama Rock Star kit. This kit carried him through all his subsequent bands. At the age of 17, he played in his first local hard rock band, Gangway NY (1989-1991). Other bands followed: Maxx Thrust NY (1991 as a fill in drummer), Lady Beware NY (1991-1992), Stalker NJ (1993 as a fill in gig drummer) and Mommy Dearest NY (1994-1996). The Metal Madman also plays the bass and guitar. He is the author of two Mommy Dearest songs, Judgment Day and Slippin' Away. At this same time, The Metal Madman was beginning his work in promoting bands and hard rock/metal music. Starting with the inception of the web site for the Norwegian band, Pagan's Mind, The Metal Madman has expanded his expertise to include moderating the Firewind and Pagan's Mind message boards and running the official Eidolon MySpace site. Today With the expansion of his radio show, The Metal Madman designed and started the website http://www.themetalmadman.com. On this site, links can be found for playlists, information on upcoming shows, merchandise and links to other various pages. The Metal Madman often reviews new albums for bands. These reviews, good and bad, can also be found on his page. Information can also be found on The Metal Madman Radio Show MySpace page as well as The Metal Madman Radio Show Street Team MySpace Page. The Metal Madman has been in the audience of Prog Power USA for the past eight years, the last five as a gold badge member. The Metal Madman's old band, Mommy Dearest, has once again found them in the studio. A summer, 2009, album release of their current music is expected. There are also talks for possible concert dates as well as new music from this very versatile band.

If your here to hear some kick ass rocking country music, you came to the right place. Since 2004 KatieBeth has been rocking it out in WI, and TN at festivals, in her own band, and in the Colgate Country Showdown where in 2005 she took second place out of 1400 contestants at the WI state Finals. With a voice born in rock and roll and stained by whiskey her powerful energy on stage and raw vocal talent of twenty years is the kind of talent ready to make her own blazing trail in the music world. Breaking From The Shadows is an aptly titled first effort for the Milwaukee-based KatieBeth. The album opens with the bluesy, swirly, hip swinger "I Will Survive" that's based on a guitar hook very reminiscent of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats." The album slides along without much fanfare for a bit, but the highlights are definitely in the middle. -I am a singer, songwriter I grew up in Merton, WI. I love to sing, dance, perform, write music and pretty much anything that involves me on stage The music I am inspired to make is rock all the way, with influences from Keith Urban, Heart, Bon Jovi, Saving Jane & Sugarland. This album/my music is rock, with the hints of country throughout. It is something different, and new, and I am so proud of this music, it is me in every line and guitar lick. My family and close friends have always been supportive of everything I am doing and trying to accomplish which I am so thankful for because without them I wouldn't be where I am. http://www.katiebeth.net/ http://www.myspace.com/katiebethcountry http://www.youtube.com/user/katiebethcountry

Move Over Angelina Jolie: Girl Auctioning Her Virginity Is Turning Humanitarian Natalie Dylan is not only going to be swimming in hundred dollar bills from the multi-million dollar sale of her virginity, but in a unique twist has decided to use her status as the world’s most famous virgin to help others who are less fortunate. Natalie, the 22-year-old San Diego woman who is auctioning off her virginity to the highest bidder, will likely turn charity spokesperson. Natalie tells Scandalist she has been approached by several charities who work to promote women’s rights to be a spokesperson on their behalf. “It’s really an honor,” Natalie says of being approached to help organizations who assist women in need. “One helps women forced into prostitution and another helps women who have suffered genital mutilation,” she says. Having Natalie on their team can certainly help bring attention to their cause - and Natalie hopes the attention will be largely positive. Natalie put her virginity up for sale last year with the help of Moonlite Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof, and her story quickly became a media favorite. She soon was flying all over the country to sit down with Tyra Banks on her talk show, and do tons of print, radio, and television interviews. The bids for Natalie’s virginity quickly reached $3.8 million - and the payout won’t stop there. Natalie has been flooded with book and movie offers and even a reality TV show. In addition, several large corporations have approached her regarding being a company spokesperson. As for the auction, the highest bidder won’t necessarily win. “She wants to be comfortable. There are a few people she likes. She has been talking on the phone and emailing with several men,” Dennis tells Scandalist. One man in particular appears to be a top contender. Natalie tells Scandalist that she has been corresponding most often with a 39-year-old Australian real estate heir, who she declines to name. Although she is searching for someone who she c

Little House Records recording artist DEREK JOSEPH was born and raised in Phelps, NY, a small rural farming community with one stoplight and 3,000 residents, and grew up learning small town country values. Derek has always has a love for music; from the earliest of ages, he listened and sang along to music whenever he could. He began his musical journey taking piano lessons at 8 years old, and played for several years. He soon took a liking to the drums and began taking lessons and eventually was afforded the opportunities to play with several successful local bands around the Finger Lakes area. A few years later on a trip to Mississippi to visit his father, also a budding guitarist and singer, his father convinced Derek to give singing a shot. He belted out to a karaoke track, and discovered that he really could sing! Derek landed a job as lead singer for local band favorite Bad Habit. Though it was a rock/classic rock band and not ideally what he wanted, the experience he gained from being a part of that band was invaluable! Derek moved on to form the band Southern Drawl, the country band he truly desired, and sang with them for about nine months, but was fortunate to be asked to sing lead in a new band being formed by one of the best guitarists in The Finger Lakes area. This was a huge opportunity for Derek that he had to take, so he left Southern Drawl to help form the band Outland! Outland quickly rose to become one of Upstate New York’s premiere country acts, and Derek enjoyed many accolades to his singing! Recently, Derek has left Outland to form his solo act and promote his national debut release to Country Radio, which is already seeing incredible success! Derek hasn't moved to Nashville just yet but does travel there often to visit the many country music friends he has made there, sometimes even getting the chance to sit in with them and sing a song or two at Tootsie's and The Stage!! Derek continues to sing and play guitar, performing wi

Lanaia Lee was born in 1957 to a Navy father and a schoolteacher mother who home-schooled her. In second grade, she was reading on a 4th grade level, so they moved her to a private school to enhance her education. When she was nine years old, her mother died from a massive stroke. Because her father was rarely home, her grandmother, a professed black witch, gained custody. When Lanaia was 14, her grandmother abandoned her, and she landed in foster care where she had four different sets of foster parents within a year, because she kept running away to avoid men who attempted to molest her. At age fifteen, she went to boarding school on her dad’s GI Bill. She graduated in her junior year after which she drifted, living with various people with neither a family nor a home. At eighteen, she married and divorced having three miscarriages. By nineteen, she began working in management for convenient stores and restaurant chains. She remarried at age 30, then had a stillborn daughter a year later. Five years later, her husband left her for a seventeen-year-old. She filed bankruptcy, and one month later suffered a massive stroke, which, after seven months in the hospital, put her in a wheelchair. The next two years involved intensive physical therapy, but she would never walk again. She took the step of finding work to help her rehabilitation. She found employment at vocational trades where she met my soul mate, David, also in a wheelchair from a motorcycle wreck he sustained in 1984. They married in 1992 and are still happily married. They, too, lost two children due to her disease, erratic hypertension. She and her husband live independently, and she still drives. In 2001, David dared her to write a poem. Out of curiosity, she posted it in an online poetry forum. The feedback was so positive, she kept writing. At first, she wrote just poems, then short stories and finally novels. All of her work is typed one-handed because of her disabilities. Lanaia gives credit to the gr
