Reporters Roundtable live from the ORIGINAL South Dallas Cafe

It's Graduation/Commencement time!  The Honorable Ambassador Ron Kirk gave the address at UTA, Rev. Frederick D. Haynes III at Southern University, Tavis Smiley at Langston University and Dick Gregory at CUNY, and also at a school in Philadelphia later today.

The Show, live from the ORIGINAL South Dallas Cafe, opened with Jasmine with News and Bilal with our healthy tips!

We are also giving out tickets to Ledesi, a movie screening--Dance Flick and a Dallas Theater Center Play--Sarah Plain and Tall.

Teresa Gilbert, of Drop Down 3 Sizes was on hand to talk about the product, the health benefits and how the garments are actually providing instant gratification, BUT she encourages you to get some exercise in, to help lose weight.  You can reach Teresa at www.dropdown3sizes.com.  Just tell her you want to look like me!!!

Next Marva Sneed of United Credit Education Service, also a return guest , talked about restoring your credit and increasing your credit score.  We also talked about how students are getting into debt and graduating with bad credit.  Tenay from UTA said she has credit  issues, Kevin is a recent graduate of Paul Quinn College and he said his credit is BAD, and Ty is in high school so his credit better be great!  One caller, Gary, wanted to know about Dave Ramsey's way of fixing your credit.
Marva says she can help turn your credit around, just give her a call at 214-796-6787.

Next Tonya English, Community Care Centers, talked about her position working with extended care facilities.  Tonya said that nursing homes aren't just for the elderly.  Sure you have the residents who have Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, but you also have young people who were in accidents or were victims of crimes and are unable to take care of themselves.  Care is costly too, she said, adding that daily charges start at around $300 and continue to escalate.  I told her about my visit to Brentwood Healthcare, where they celebrated National Nursing Home Week and honored 6 residents between the ages of 100 and 106. The event features the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and the Skyline High School Marching Band. Tonya can be reached at 214-714-4440.
