    Shame How People Are

    Thought I write a blog on what was going on over the last few days.Well I wish I could tell you that I had a exciting adventure but really,I caught up on some gorgeous sleep and spend time with my girls.hubby went on a men's retreat.

    Anyway,yesterday(Friday) I was accepted to a great sisterhood called Gypsy Queens.They are a chapter of women who are are tattooed models, promotional girls, & sisters that promote a positive image of women with ink at events put together or attended by The Gypsy Queens. Meet & Greets, Tattoo Conventions, Bike Shows, Xtreme Sporting Events, Grand Openings, Charity Events etc that don't believe in nudity to get the point across and/or to feel beautiful.

    Now when I join anything,I like research everything,I don't just dive into things,this was a great group to be apart of and so far I have been greeted by new sisters from the bunch.

    Most people before they join anything look for the wrong things in my opinion.Like race,gender,disability,etc.Its normal I guess,I didn't care how many black or white or whoever was in it,I believe what they stood for and I joined.Unfortunately,people are still in living in the ways of the world with the whole judging and I don't know if I'm the one with the problem or what but its two thousand and f***king eight and still idiots are being..well...IDIOTS!

    Case in point,as you meet people and groups,etc its only natural to network and see what the buzz is.Well I was directed to this one social networking for tattoo artist and enthusiasts called     www.inkednation.com and I joined mainly cause my new found sisters were on there and I wanted to stay in touch with events,make new friends,you know,just like any other reason you go on a social network.

    Exploring the site more and more I wanted to go in the chat room to meet more people that was like minded...WRONG! All that was going on there was nonsense.Calling each other names,telling one to f**k off and all these other names,while someone in there was actually trying to give a recipe for deep fried strawberries...sounds gross but the way they made it sound it seemed like  a cool idea.

    I made a comment in the room that the recipe seemed interesting.Instead of getting a positive response,I get a racist remark..what was it?you wonder?Well lets just say,they put bunny and jungle in the same sentence.Also other animal like names that unfortunately relate to racial slurs to a black person.You want to know what I did to those two pieces of sh*t?

    Absolutely nothing!Why bother?Lower myself to their level?No thanks!I know who I am as a person and pretty damn proud of who I am.,theres going to be jerks,haters,idiots,out there that's always and I mean ALWAYS going to try to step on you.Its life!Its sad still that we live in a world that have been there done that and thought we have learned from the past but I guess theres still low lifes out there that still like to play games,being predjudice,racist,sexist,you name it.

    Why did this happen?Well the closed minded person would say,well looking at that site,the majority is white,I shouldn't been on there in the first place...Says Who????I don't care if I was the only black person on there or anywhere,Iam not going to leave because of that.Its silly!

    Do I blame anybody for leading me to this  site?Of course not.People being stupid is not nobodies fault but the idiots.As I mentioned in my last show about "Stereotypes and Society" racism among other types of prejudice will always be here but low key.Its up to us and our children to not make them so narrow minded.Make friendships,relationships,etc not by the race,but who they are.Why is it so hard for people?Their parents and their up bring is the the most sorriest excuse cause I was brought up in a family that cared alot about race but I stepped out of it and like people for who they are and because of that I have a beautiful rainbow of friends.Don't mean to be corny on the last sentence there but its true.

    What am I going to do with     www.inkednation.com? Iam going to do like everybody else do,log on,check my mail and meet people.Just cause that incident happen it wont scar me.Me venting out to you guys is all I need to do and shake it off and I'm good.

    Word of advice:Don't be afraid of anything that's different.Explore.That goes with genres of music,movies,friends,culture,etc.Learn from people different than you.We will have alot more intelligent open minded people in this world and I would actually be proud of this society instead of ashamed.
