Join Kim as she kicks off her 2010 season talking with photographer Larry Mendenhall. Larry Mendenhall is a former newspaper photographer who began concentrating on landscaped photography in 1998. Since 2003, he has participated in numerous juried art shows and exhibitions. His photographs are in the permanent collections at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames; the Municipal Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa in West Des Moines, and are on display in the Environmental Protection Agency's Kansas City office. He won several Merit Awards at juried art shows and won Best of Show in the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area photography contest in 2007. One of his photos also appears in Michael Carlowicz's book The Moon. His work will be on exhibit at the Patient and Visitors Activity center in the University ofIowa Hospitals and Clinics starting on Jan. 12, 2010.
