Isshinryu Today presented by Team KIA with Forrest and Vena

Good Evening and Welcome to Isshinryu Today, presented by Team KIA. Tonight sitting in as host is Renshi Kyle Forrest and his co-host, Kancho Dan Vena. Tonight's subject matter will be the brown and down tournament being held in Lexington North Carolina on October 15th, 2016. This is the first tournament being organized by Team KIA, it is to honor the 60th year of Isshinryu, our Founder Shimabuku Tatsuo Sensei, Grand Master Harold Long, Hanshi Phil Little, the USIKA and all first generation United States Marine Corps students of our founder. This tournament is being developed to honor the work of our kyu ranks, pay homage to the Sensei's that are teaching these students. Also to share the knowledge of the black belt judges that will be participating during the event. The kyu ranks will be viewed by some of the top instructors in our style. This sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship shows the kyu ranks how the black belts come together as one and put theid talen to work. We will also be talking about the state of Isshinryu in the world as well. Join us for an exciting living room type discussion about our beloved Isshinryu Karatedo.
