Call in to speak with the host
Among the new generation of smart, sophisticated New York songwriters, Scott Evan Davis has emerged as one of the most promising, with a voice all his own.
His debut studio recording of twelve songs, Cautiously Optomistic: The Music of Scott Evan Davis is arranged and produced by David Snyder. The album features some of the brightest stars from Broadway, including Faith Prince (Guys and Dolls / Bells Are Ringing); Liz Callaway (Merrily We Roll Along / Baby); Jason Graae (Ragtime / Falsettos); Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys); Nikki Renee Daniels (Porgy and Bess); and Lisa Howard (Spelling Bee). Joined by veteran cabaret performers Julie Reyburn, Natalie Douglas, Jon Philip Alman, Nicole Johndrow and Joshua Dixon, they sing songs of deep emotion, abiding love, cynical humor, lost innocence, and acceptance.
Scott Evan Davis joins Kenneth Hieber on One Voice to talk about these brilliant performances all of which are deeply personal journeys.
It's good to talk.
