In January 2005, Steven J. Hatchell became President and Chief Executive Officer of The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame, Inc.

As president & CEO, Steve oversees a nationwide organization with 121 chapters in 47 states with more than 12,000 members who host more than 1,000 local annual events. His leadership has played a critical role in the opening of the state-of-the-art $68.5 million College Football Hall of Fame in the heart of Atlanta.  Steve served as the first commissioner of the Big 12 Conference in Dallas, an entity he helped establish in 1995 after serving as the last commissioner of the Southwest Conference from 1993-95. From 1987-93, Steve headed the Orange Bowl as its executive director.  Steve was director of sports information for the University of Colorado from 1972-76. He left CU to become SID at Colorado State.

Steve has also served on several U.S. Olympic Committee boards and as part of the staff for three Olympic games. Steve graduated with a journalism degree in 1970 from the University of Colorado.
