  Today we will talk about reef developments near Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale with Gary Levine, the underwater developer who built the first phase of the Neptune Reef in the Key Biscayne Special Management Zone, about 5 miles southeast of Miami Beach.
  
  Topics of interest include the St. Kitts Music Festival, the Cayman Islands, the Coral Reef Symposium and underwater art.

  Liquid Lounge: Saturday @ 8 PM

  Join me in the Lounge, Saturday @ 8 PM, for a new approach to the only internet radio program focused on the ocean. Saturday evening, I will invite noted marine artists to call and talk about themselves, and their art.
  
  Marine artists such as Wyland, Guy Harvey, David Dunleavy and Carlos Hiller have all remarked about the decline in the number of large fish and the coral reef system in the Caribbean. The Wyland Foundation produced a CD called 'Rhythm of the Seas,' a collection of jazz with a theme and performed by the Earth Jazz Agents.
  
  I'll also be talking with promoters of artificial reef construction, such as Gary Levine and Carl Olson. Check out their newest project, Miami Beach's underwater billboard spelling out Save Our Reefs with vertical stacks of reef material. 
  
  It's a soft opening on May 24 @ 8 PM.

  Technical Issues with 5.21.08 Show

  The May 21st show had a technical problem, so it was deleted.
  
  I tried to use the 'Click to Talk' feature for the first time. It appears that there is a delay that is recorded, so that the show sounds like a bad attempt at overdubbing.
  
  I'll check into the problem before I try it again.

  Today's show will be an update on the South Florida reef projects of Gary Levine. He'll call in to talk about the SAVE OUR REEFS initiative and the developments regarding the automobile tires near Fort Lauderdale.
  
  We'll also cover the EcoArt project on Miami Beach and the International Year of the Reef.
