Ecolounge  

EcoLounge is the official radio program of the EcoGuide series from Ocean Realm Media. EcoGuide projects combine a BTR show with a Blog, website and, a print publication, all promoting an eco-destination. This show is hosted by Ken English, the BlogTalkRadioGuy, author of BlogTalkRadioMadeEasy and the producer of more than 400 BTR episodes, along with nearly 400 videos on several YouTube channels.

    Lunch at the Lounge - ISS Conference Preview

    The ISS Conference is at hand. For several weeks I've been preparing a presentation on BlogTalkRadio for 80 people attending Mark Hendricks' ISS Conference in Orlando, Florida. On March 27 at 3:15 PM, Martin Sabel and I will dazzle the audience with fancy footwork and insightful commentary. Martin is Mr. Eldercare. His program is practical, logical and valuable. Everyone is going to face the issues related to aging parents.

    Me, I'm on a mission to convince the audience that each of them could host their own show, if they wanted to. After all, it's really a computer doing most of the work. Two phonelines are connected electronically. The conversation is recorded. With in 30 miinutes of hanging up, the show is converted to a didital file, available for replay, download or email. There is a switchboard to control the flow, so there is a basic learning curve, but it's not difficult. The level of board operation is where it getts tricky.

    But, to stay with the basic issue...

    The BlueGreen Network is a promotional group with an eco-tourism orientation.

    Beginning wth Liquid Lounge, and it's focus on the ocean, I saw an opportunity to channel the message of organizations such as the Shark Research Institue - www.sharks.org - by having representives call in, or be interviewed like I did with Stan Waterman at the Florida Dive Show in 2007.

    I saw an opportunity to talk about Miami's artistic side and set up Miami Art Online. Each week, an artist or gallery owner calls in, or I play recorded interviews such as the ones I did at Art Fusion Gallery during the March 8th Gallery Walk.

    Now, on April 1st, from Noon to 1 PM, I am launching Pocono Preview, an eco-tourism oriented show that will feature guests involved with the east coast's best known resort area, the Pocono Mountains.
