This week Ken and Beth will be talking about the controversy that has recently been newsworthy -- the women, religious. Recently the Pope initiated an investigation of the major association of women, religious, within the Catholic Church for either espousing or, at least, not denouncing certain controversial concepts, such as women's role in the mail-dominated Church hierarchy, the ordination of women and the like. With all the financial and political fallout of the pedophilia scandal still weighing heavily on its shoulders, the Church is seeing less and less young men seeking the priesthood. This has lead to closures of parishes for lack of priests to run them. The women ask, "Why not us?" The Church's reply was, "No." More like :"HELL NO!" (emphasis mine). Do you agree with the Church's position? Call in and let us know what you think. Should women's role in the Church be expanded? Let's talk about it!
