With the Republican National Convention in full sway down in storm drenched Tampa, Florida, we've all be inundated by seas of rhetoric from the various speakers who have have taken their turn on the podium.  From listening to them rant about the current administration and the mess that President Obama is making of this country it makes me think that they must think that the American people are suffering from collective memory loss.  Tonight Ken and Beth will ponder whether it is possible for any one president in any single term to do the kinds of damage to our society that the Republicans say that Obama is doing, and even though the buck stops at the president's desk, is he really responsible for the personally antagonistic, obstructionist politics that has gridlocked Congress, turning them into a gang of mewling 3rd graders who can't get along on the same playground at recess time?  And, further,  what kind of people are we electing to national office anyway?  Some of the things that politicians are saying on the record really shows their ignorance.  Ken and Beth will discuss how smart you have to be to get into Congress.  You won't want to miss it.
