If you listen to some of the rhetoric being spouted by the Republican contenders you'd have to think that God must be a Republican. It seems that with every passing election the Republican standard bearers get more and more conservative and more and more overtly religious. More and more, politicians, rather than keeping their personal religious views personal, are touting them openly as if to say they are a better candidate for president because they love Jesus more than their opponents. Recently, presidential hopeful, Michelle Bachman caused a controversy by making a statement during a speech asserting that the recent earthquake and hurricane on the east coast was evidence of God's wrath against congress. After a public outcry against her statement she backpedaled saying that it was all a joke. Well, heck with us if we can't take a joke, right? Join Ken and Beth as they discuss the appropriate rold of religion in politics. We need to hear from YOU! Call in and give us a piece of your mind. 347-215-9971 Thursday, Sept. 1, 8:30PM PDT
