A (ah), B (bay), C (say), D (day), E (euh), F (ef), G (zhay),
H (ahsh), I (ee), J (zhee), K (kah), L (elle), M (em), N (en),
O (oh), P (pay), Q (koo), R (air), S (ess), T (tay), U (oo),
V (vay), W (doobleh-vay), X (eeks), Y (eegrek), Z (zed).
Notice that F, L, M, N, O, and S are said the same. For British English, there’s one more that’s the same. The British say the final letter as “zed,” not “zee.” So for the last letter in French, just like in British English, it’s “zed.”
I want to mention www.poissonrouge.com again for its alphabet lessons. On the home page, there are three letter “A’s.” Click on the far left one to get to French. You’ll have a word for each letter. Please e-mail us with any comments or suggestions! We love to hear from you!Kelly and Alex
