1.  In the News  2.  Austin Sarat talks about his book "Botched Executions"  He discusses executions in the United States going back to 1890.  Prof. Sarat questions whether the methods we use to execute people can be considered cruel and unusual punishment.  He spoke about his book at Amherst Books in Massachusetts.    Austin Sarat is a professor of jurisprudence and political science at Amherst College.  He is also the author of "When the State Kills" and "Mercy on Trial."   3.
