No matter how destructive any other force stands against a community, nothing can destroy it more than a divided internal social structure. If the community itself is unified, cohesive and organized, outsiders have very little chance of dividing and conquering. So how do we get to the bottom of our internal break? What started the avalanche that ripped through the once stable structure of our African-American culture? Two major power bases have been horribly disturbed...the church and the family. While we work towards putting the pressure on our churches to get back in line, we must immediately make changes toward re-conditioning the state of the Black family relationship. What parents do makes or breaks their children. What they see growing up as children affects the paths they choose as adults. Is it not only natural that making some positive adjustments in the way you and your partner interact will instill positive adjustments in our youth?
