    Date / Time:

    SHOW NOTES:

    08/02/09 -

"My BROmance... doesn't have to have a moon in the sky..."

Or is that a KEITH Moon in the sky??

Anyway, anyway. I hope you all enjoyed our salute to some of the greatest songwriting teams in Classic Rock! Abi and I did our best to cover as many as possible in a 90 minute show and, even though I know we left out a few, I think we did a pretty good job of covering most of the major ones. :) We certainly enjoyed a night of Bromancin'... but if you weren't able to join us live, here's what you missed out on:

    THE TUNES:
    "Juke Box Hero" by Foreigner
"Mother's Little Helper" by The Rolling Stones
"Talk Dirty to Me" by Poison

    KAY'S CLASSIC ROCK NEWS:
    - Foreigner has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Walmart for their new album. "Can't Slow Down" will be hitting the shelves on September 29th as a 3-disc set for- get this- $12.00!!!
    - I ran down the latest news from our favorite rockstars who want to be the next "Andrew Lloyd Sondheim"... Elton John's "Billy Elliot", "Rock of Ages", David Bryan's "The Toxic Avenger" & lots more! Oh. And those links to show discounts: NYTIX or BROADWAYBOX
    - Robert Plant got in to a bit of a car... wreck. He's okay, but the drug counselor he hit? He's a bit worse off. Also, Plant is going to be working with Allison Krauss again. Yay!
    - The Beatles are Zombies. Seriously. Or, at least author Alan Goldsher thinks so. His "Paul is Undead: The British Zombie Invasion" is due out in stores in June of 2010!

    ABI'S CLASSIC ROCK NEWS:
    - Little Josh- you remember him. The boy who wanted to be voted the Biggest AC/DC fan? Well, he didn't win the grand prize, but he *DID* win tickets to the Montreal show!
    - Slash and Steven Adler have something more in common these days beyond Guns & Roses- a restraining order!! No, no. Not against Axl. Turns out some nice lady thinks she's going to marry Steven. Too bad he doesn't know a damn thing about it?
    - Due to that lovely Swine Flu, you can't kiss at outdoor concerts held in Germany. And we don't care how much Jager you've had-
    - The Rolling Stones have inked a new merchandising deal with Bravado! Now you can get even MORE items bearing that famous tongue. ... yay?

    BIRTHDAYS THAT ROCK:
    - Rikki Rockett (Poison)

    FUN & GAMES:
    - We matched up songwriting partners and then matched those partners to their songs. Fun fun!

    SOLDIER SALUTE:
    - Abi saluted all those US Army 'Battle Buddies' out there. ;)

Well, no theme next week, but hey, we've done a LOT of theme shows and have a LOT MORE coming up, so it's nice to be themeless for a week here and there I suppose!

    Catch you Sunday! 6pm EST!
    - Kay
    will hook ya up!
