Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: 7 Warning Signs of Carpal Tunnel Symptoms

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome has way more than 7 warning signs but today at Carpal Tunnel Radio we talked about only seven.  Here they are:

    1.  Uncomfortable sensations in your thumb, palm, hand, wrist or upper arm.
    2.  Lack of strength you used to have in your hands.
    3.  Pain in the back of your neck or base of your skull.  Headaches.
    4.  A "knot" in your back between your spine and shoulder blade.
    5.  Hiked up shoulders.
    6.  Sticking out chin or tilted back head.
    7.  Shoulders rolled forward.  Chest tight.

I expanded on all of these in today's episode and talked about what you can do to get rid of symptoms in your hand, wrist and arm naturally.

Yoga and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Does Yoga Help CTS?

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Yoga?  What do you need to know?  Today's guest was Marilyn Scozewski.  Marilyn is a Registered Nurse (RN) and also a Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher.

It was an interesting show and Yes!  Yoga does help Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

According to a study by the National Institutes of Health, yoga helps (but they didn't know why.)  Marilyn quoted a medical research study which compared patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome who studied yoga to patients who wore a wrist brace.  Guess which had the most benefit?  : )

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a whole body issue and yoga is a whole body "treatment."

Yoga has many benefits for your whole body and relieving your carpal tunnel symptoms is just one of them.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome Part 2 with Kathryn Merrow

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome was continued today here at Carpal Tunnel Radio.  There isn't much information in the conventional medical field about how muscles and soft tissues can cause pain in your foot.  The information is available but most doctors just aren't aware of the roles of muscles in pain syndromes.  It's not something that is taught much in medical schools.  They do learn about anatomy but they don't learn why or how muscles cause pain.

If you go to http://CarpalTunnelPainRelief.com and scroll past the "Categories" you will find a section for Trigger Point Books.  Click on the blue book for more information.  If you can buy that trigger point book, you will have a treasure chest of pain relief at your finger tips.

There is a category called "Triggers and Trigger Points" in the "Categories" there and even though the website is for carpal tunnel sufferers you will still get a lot of information about trigger points and how your body works.

You have a smart body and it wants to be pain-free.  You will have to take action and do the natural steps necessary but you can do it!

If you have Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome or other pain in your foot, ankle or leg I hope you will seriously think about getting your own copy of the blue trigger point book so you can get rid of your pain.

Next week we will have a yoga instructor tell us about the benefits of yoga for carpal tunnel syndrome.

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome Relief with The Pain Relief Coach

Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome was the topic of http://www.CarpalTunnelRadio.com today (September 3, 2009.)  Since I didn't have enough time to cover everything about the causes and natural cures, next week we will continue the discussion.

Just like most other pain in your body, TTS has a cause.  In this case, the cause is usually muscles or other soft tissues.  That's very good news because soft tissues can be treated with natural therapies like ice and deep tissue massage.

Sometimes pain in the arch/toe/ankle area is caused by trigger points or muscles in your lower calf near the knee, around your heel or in the arch of your foot.  Pressing into these areas will be tender but that will allow your circulation to increase to the tight area.

You can find more information at both http://www.SimplePainRelief.com (look at the Foot Pain Category) and at http://CarpalTunnelPainRelief.com (look at the Categories for Massage--how to find a therapist--and Triggers--how triggers points work.)

Getting rid of your tight muscles or trigger points will help your tarsal tunnel symptoms go away naturally.
