Hey Soldier,

Just wanted you to say that I was thinking of you... I'm not going to send this, you can read it when you get home.

I hope you know that I think of you constantly.  When I do laundry, and there are no pockets to empty or socks to turn right side out, I think of you.  When I go to the shopping and see your favorite foods, I think of you.  When I come home and you aren't there to help carry in the groceries, I think of you.  When I cook dinner, I think of you.

I know it's cold at night, and hot during the day over there, and I think of you.  I know there is danger and I think of you.  Some nights I lay awake and beg God to keep you safe.  Every night,  I think of you.

When I listen to what the media tells the world about our country and those who serve, it breaks my heart.  I think of you--and pray you don't hear their obscenity.

Everywhere I go, I talk about my soldier--and never fail to get a big smile and a thank you!  There are so many good people back home who think of you and all your friends!  I want you, and all our soldiers, to take care of yourselves--and each other.  
 

Always know that I am proud and I miss you more than I can say.  Be strong, and come home soon, so we can remember what Sunday dinner tastes like without tears.

Now, for heaven's sake, go brush your teeth and get to bed--you need your rest!
