After reading your article in the Capital Press, (‘No match’ rule may hit jobs, cost billions), I don’t know what is more egregious, the fact that members of the Coalition for a Working Oregon openly admit that they employ illegal aliens or their pathetic begging to be able to continue to do because it increases their profits.   Every American, if they so chose, could make and keep more of their money if they decided to break laws.

What next?   Will methamphetamine dealers form a “Coalition for Undocumented Pharmacists?"   Maybe they could pay Professor William Jaeger to do study showing the net benefit to society of selling meth.   After all meth dealers make a lot of money and they have to spend somewhere.

There are far too many flaws in Professor Jaeger’s study to be able to answer in a letter to the editor.  Suffice it to say that if illegal immigration were good for the economy California would be in a boom time.   California is home to about 30 % of the illegal alien population in the U.S.    California is $15 billion in the red.  Their legislature is considering raising the personal income tax to above 10 %, the highest in nation and double the national average.   Their schools are overcrowded, hospitals are closing due to unreimbursed payments from illegal aliens and crime is out of control.

Schools, healthcare and crime are of course no concern to members of the Coalition for a Working Oregon.  All they care about is having a steady supply of cheap labor in order to depress wages and keep their profits high.
