The Decent people of DC can now defend themselves against criminals with handguns!! While there may be a few overreactions in the beginning, I believe that Washington DC will become a safer place to live--with a politer society.Writing for the majority, Justice Antonin Scalia said that an individual right to bear arms is supported by "the historical narrative" both before and after the Second Amendment was adopted.Joining Scalia were Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Clarence Thomas. The dissenters were Justices, John Paul Stevens, Stephen Breyer, David Souter and Ruth Bader Ginsburg (formerly Queen of the ACLU).
