Main Stream Media Suddenly Squeamish About Reporting Horrific Crimes?

We have been assaulted for months, 24/7, with every minute detail the MSM could manufacture about Gitmo, Duke fraternity boys, Abu Graeb, Haditha Marines, and any possibility of U.S. military impropriety (real or manufactured). They feign shock and offense at every political misstep or any transgression of the spoken word--according to MSM's own lofty standards. There would not be headlines large enough and every grusome, sadistic detail would be told and retold.
The ever-lengthening list of their Commandments of Political Correctness would rival the Viet Nam Memorial should it eventually be carved into marble tablets. Only they, the purest of heart, mind, and mouth, are qualified to determine whether a person, or group of persons, qualify as "innocent until proven guilty".
Why am I not concerned with the death of Anna Nicole or consumed with American guilt?  Why doesn't it disturb me if one of our own soldiers beats some "muslim" butcher to the draw?  Call me crazy, call me insensitive, just call me when you see this story hit the front page of the NYTs...

Apparently this crime wasn't all that horrific or interesting to anybody outside the immediate family, a local paper or two. If it weren't for the blogosphere, most of us would never know. A big deal was made out of determining this was not a racial crime. Who the hell cares?!  It was as horrible a death for the two victims as anything described as "racial".  Nobody deserves this--not blacks, not gays, not whites.  Look at the faces of these sadistic killers and tell me why they shouldn't die.
