He explained their mission-- the lost sheep of the household of Israel regarding the Kingdom of heaven being near. Y'shua reminded them they have received without pay and so give without asking payment. Making sure they didn't allow the spirit of greed, fear and anxiety to suck the life out of the ministry. He said "Take no money in your belts, no gold, no silver, no copper; and for the trip don't take or pack an exra shirt, shoes or a walking stick for a worker should be given what he needs." And I tell you he's much more than a prophet. This is the one whom the Tanakh says 'See, I am sending out my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you." Malachi 3:1 Yes! I tell you that among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than Yochanan the Immerser! Yet the one who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he!" John the Baptist as we Westerners call him was born Yochanan Ben Zacheria (John the son of Zacheria).
