Call in to speak with the host
After Yeshua hand-picked 12 talmidim instructeding them where not to go and where to go. He explained their mission-- the lost sheep of the household of Israel regarding the Kingdom of heaven being near. Y'shua reminded them they have received without pay and so give without asking payment. Making sure they didn't allow the spirit of greed, fear and anxiety to suck the life out of the ministry. He said "Take no money in your belts, no gold, no silver, no copper; and for the trip don't take or pack an exra shirt, shoes or a walking stick for a worker should be given what he needs." Reminding them of their reward they'll receive and the rewards that those who refresh them with a mere cup of water. Many misunderstood John's ministry. Suddenly he explains the ministry and life of Yochanan aka John. He begins by asking a rhetorical question: "What did you go out to the desert to see? Reeds swaying in the breeze? No? Then what did you go out to see? Someone who is well dressed? Well dressed people live in king's palaces, No, so why did you go out? To SEE A PROPHET! YES! And I tell you he's much more than a prophet. This is the one whom the Tanakh says 'See, I am sending out my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you." Malachi 3:1 Yes! I tell you that among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than Yochanan the Immerser! Yet the one who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he!" John the Baptist as we Westerners call him was born Yochanan Ben Zacheria (John the son of Zacheria). He's been called a "CLASP" between the Old Testament and the New, the close of the one and the beginning of the other. F. B. Meyer said "Though his life may not be repeated his humility, courage and devotion to Yah and uncompromising loyalty may animate us!"
