Jeremiah chapter seven finds an apostate Judah relying on the safety of their "Temple of the Lord," while living in idolatry, oppression, injustice, and sin. YAHWEH tells them that His wrath and destruction are imminent regardless of their "Temple of the Lord," which they use as a "Den of Robbers" or hideout.
Just like the old west's Hole in the Wall Gang, the cultural Christianity of today uses its organized religion as a hideout from God's wrath while sallying out to commit all kinds of spiritual criminal behavior. The "Hirelings" posing as leaders, leading the blind believe they are safe within their hole in the wall gangster church, but YAHWEH has other plans for them.
