Years ago I was reading a book by Amire Baraka about the ever ending effects having the wrong people with Black skin talking in the media.Baraka was angry back then.Like most Black writers and thinkers coming out of the sixties extreme nationalism gave way to a more communal wholistic point of view on how to meet the challenges facing Black America.It was simple,jobs,decent housing,some knowledge of of history,and seeing Blacks elected to high office.And that is what the NAACP gave us.It was not much but since we all understood that this was indeed a White mans government,and the media has to reflect their values and their idea of their supremecy over us.The police killings,the attacks on Blacks by Whites,and discrimination all were accepted realities of being Black in America.Now anyone who supported or enforced the status quo was considered a sellout.Now even when Blacks are too themselves the presence of the White man has to be evident.This is why without noticing it most movies,television shows,and comedy skits always has a White protagonist/antagonist in the distant.Amire Baraka hated this and railed against shows like In Living Color in which he thought Blacks were cooning and buck dancing for White America.Black ignorance,misery,misfortune was celebrated making the White production companies money.He even attacked film maker Spike Lee for the over dramatic non revolutionary version of Malcolm X he created.Being a culture critic is not an easy job Baraka found that out the hard way.During the early 90's a Black so called professor was running around saying silly things like.It is not White racism that hold Black people back but Blacks themselves.Now in our community we all know folks who work themselves to death to get ahead.We also know bumbs.Now here comes some rent a spook appearing on talk shows saying every racist thing against people who looked like him.His name was Alan Keyes.The question Amire Baraka wrote in his book which put him on the map for me was WHERE THE F@#$ DO NIGGERS LIKE ALAN KEYES COME FROM?!!!!!!!!!!!!!ARE THE HATCHED IN A LAB?ARE THE FLOWN IN FROM OUTER SPACE?This is the problem with idiots with too much time on their hands.Recently this coon said Barack Obama is a communist and is trying to destroy this country.He said he is not a legitimate President.I remember when Dole was running in the primary against Clinton in 1996 the Republicans blocked Keyes from running.It got so bad the fool was taken away in handcuffs,while he was screaming this is  travesty.His own party of racist don't want him but he still thinks Obama,Black America,and the Democrats are his enemy.This guy is an All Star Coon if ever there was one.
