Terie was born in New Jersey and raised in both New Jersey and Ohio. Terie and her husband Bill of 28 years have three children, two boys who are grown and her youngest daughter a senior at Brookwood High School still at home. Her love of animals was passed on from her father who allowed the family to have all kinds of animals growing up, including cats, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, goats, ducks and yes of course dogs. In her adult life she and her family always had a couple cats and the occasional pocket pet when her children were young, however until five years ago this did not include a canine family member.
While volunteering with her daughter at their local SPCA with NO intention of adopting a dog she became smitten with one of the rescues and the rest as they say is history. This one dog completely changed her life, as a love of training became obvious to those around her and eventually her. With the help of a few excellent mentors she learned the language of dogs and how to help their owners communicate with them in a positive way. And so Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care was born. Hundreds of clients later Terie and her training partner Cole her dog, continue to bring people and their pets closer together in a most harmonious way. Terie offers Free Ask the Trainer Seminars throughout the community and writes articles for a local publication as a way to give back. As the recent winner of the Tony Devins Award she had the opportunity to give $500 to the charity of her choice. The recipient was the Georgia SPCA of course!
