On this episode of Making a Difference, we meet Joel Banks. Joel is a proud man of God who works tirelessly to help and encourage others when they need it most. Joel is a true humanitarian who has gone overseas with his church to perform missionary work in Haiti and Africa. While this is the epitome of Making a Difference, what makes Joel's work even more special is the road he's taken to reach this point in his life:
Joel was born and raised in north Jersey, just 15 min outside of NYC. He comes from a large family primarily consisting of women. Unfortunately, Joel had few positive male role models, as his father was absent and his uncles were in and out of prison. As he became older, Joel gravitated to the street life, hanging with the wrong crowd and making several bad choices along the way. A brief stint in the Navy didn't help him change his ways, and he appeared to be going on a road to nowhere.
Join us as we talk to Joel and discuss primary goal in life, which is to lead people to the truth, which will ultimately lead to a change in their life for the better, which leads to a better world!!
