A recent bill, sponsored by State Senator Eric Adams, banning quotas on arrests and tickets was passed by the Senate and Assembly. The new bill will expand existing legislation banning the use of ticket quotas to punish or threaten the job of a police officer. The law will allow the Police Union to file a grievance on behalf of officers that have been punished for failure to meet any quota for summonses or arrests. On Thursday October 14, 2010, at 6:00 PM, we will discuss this legislation and its impact on the citizens and police officers. Please join us for an analysis of this very important legislation.
