"Ellen's Acres" is like "Eloise at the Plaza" set in a motel. Five-year-old Ellen lives
in a hotel that her parents own outside of Tonapah, Nevada. Since there aren't a lot
of kids her age around to play with, Ellen makes up all kinds of imaginary adventures
with the help of her feather duster and radial tire, which turn into different, magical
objects. The show features the first young, hip parents to appear in a childrens animated
series. Ellen's dad is a former professional skateboarder and her mom is a lawyer and his manager. The show is a celebration of play and creativity. Ellen does a great job role
modeling creativity for kids.
