We are honored to have author Patrick McMahon join us in conversation about his stirring memoir Becoming Patrick. McMahon grew up knowing that he and his brother were both adopted, and he buries the pain of that knowledge until well into adulthood. A series of crises and events precipitates a search for his biological mother, which turns into a journey of agonizing and ultimately liberating self-discovery and self-acceptance. Being gay adds a layer of anxiety as he seeks to find his place in the world.
