Greetings all and welcome to Juice Radio’s Blog Spot!! And this show is gonna be on FIRE, Join us on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:30PM as we chit chat with special guest Alexyss K Tylor of “Vagina Power and Penis Power” , visit http://www.shop.vaginapowertv.com . We will be exploring the issue of “Why Do Some Women Allow Themselves to be Jump offs” /Bust it Baby (Why Do Women Allow Men to Use Their Bodies) and how a woman can tap into her “Vagina Power”.
This is a universal issue that crosses all races, cultures and ethnicities. So many women have low or no value or self worth, and find themselves being used and abused by men. There let men use and abuse our bodies, get their ‘nut” off and all the woman is left with is some wet panties and hurt feeling! I find this situation to be very true with a lot of my sisters of color. With the whole phenomena of “Jumpoffs” and “Bust it Babies” becoming popular and “cute”, many young girls and women think it is “cute” or that their power as a woman lays in their coochie or ability to lay up with somebody’s’ man. Ultimately, I think a lot of these girls and young women hope that if they exchange their bodies and sex – than some man will love and want them.
In most cases, that I have seen – the “Jumpoff” chick eventually becomes angry and hurt with the situation and is left feeling empty. While the man has moved on to a new chick or is wining, dining and taking care of his “wifey” or main woman. Why and how do women allow themselves to be used? How can women, especially black women make better choices? How can a woman channel her “Vagina Power”? Alexyss K Tylor of “Vagina Power and Penis Power” will help answer these questions, as we explore this topic – October 23rd 7:30PM.

Greetings all and welcome to another blog installment from Juice Radio!! Oh yes, and this one is definitely close to my heart. Join us on Thursday, October 9th at 7:30PM as we chit chat with Hip Hop Stars Chubb Rock and Positive K! We are paying homage to the Golden Era of Hip Hop and discuss the current state of Hip Hop and Rap.
I would be lying if I said that Hip Hop is not near and dear to my heart, I often reminisce about the “good’ hip hop that provided the soundtrack to my youth. Music that made you move, music that made you think, music that motivated, and music that spoke my truth and the truth of the urban communities. This is the Hip Hop that help form my outlook on myself and life, and made me proud to a member of the Hip Hop community. It seems as “that” Hip Hop, the Hip Hop I fell in love with, my “Brown Sugar” (Yall remember….like from the Movie with Taye Diggs) is lost and no one is trying to find it!
Hip Hop as a culture and Rap music is now a product of the corporate machine – just straight garbage. It is either bubble gum rap or thuggery, which are small parts of Hip Hop, but not all! The lyrics that actually made sense, and had a message and made you move your ass are not appreciated or respected. As long as the beat is hot, and the lyrics are talking about f*#$king b%$#@es, killing, moving weight and other ignorant ish – the corporations eat it up! Package it and tell the masses, this is a reflection of the “urban” community.
I hope that the Hip Hop I fell in love with will return soon, but until than I have my memories (and a bunch of mix tape cassettes I created as a teen) to hold me down! Check us out, Thursday October 9th with Chubb Rock and Positive K as we reflect on the good ole days of Hip Hop.

Welcome to yet another Juice Radio blog entry!! Oh and we are definitely bringing it to you! Check us out Thursday, September 18th 7:30PM. Miz D! and “Real Talk Now” will be discussing “Hiding Behind God...Fake A$$ Church Folks and Hypocrites – What is the Deal?” We will be challenging all those who claim to be good, Christian folk but are really fronting in the name of the Lord!! That is the worst type of hypocrite.
I would have to say, that in my life time most of the people who I have encountered that claim to be devote Christians – have been some of the most jealous, judgmental, uppity, standoff-ish, clique-ish, and selfish people. Now, I am not attacking Christianity or Christian people in any way, because I know there are some wonderful devote Christians, but the ones I have encountered definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I my opinion, most are simply concerned with their own salvation. They do as they should, according to the “good book”, but as for ethics, morals, and being a good or “Christ” like person, if you will – is not a major concern. Or than you have ministers and preachers hustling the congregation, back sliding and living in excess, and dipping in and out of the beds of their church members.
I give you a personal example, one of my former colleagues who I was very close to and trusted – knew the Bible from cover to cover. She went to church and Bible study regularly. I would sometimes find myself in awe listening to her and I really respected her. Than, I started to look a little deeper, and I came to find out that she was promiscuous and married men were not off limits, she was a disloyal friend, two faced, arrogant and kept up a lot of on job gossip and rumors!! Now obviously, if she is like this on the job, than she is like this in her personal life. So I ask, “Does she not think God is aware of her actions? And does she think going to church is all that she has to do?”
Another example, I recently attended a mega church in Stone Mountain, Atlanta GA. Now I won’t mention the name, but it is pretty obvious what church I went to. One of the ministers, as she was speaking and the collection plate went around, she was discussing the upcoming Sunday’s events and continues with “….so don’t throw a measly five dollars at the man of the Lord”. I was shocked that this came out of her mouth. Oh, and the minister was the daughter of a great Civil Rights Leader.
Now, I can go on and on until I am blue in the face with examples, like the ones I have mentioned, but my point is what their deal is? When I was coming up, my grandmother loved church and would take me and my cousin on a regular basis. In addition to following God’s word, and extracting what is good and what we can apply to our lives from the Bible – I was taught to strive to be a good person. Give to others, be a friend, be loyal, embrace all people (not just church folk), show compassion and radiate good energy. These are the principles that my mother and grandmother instilled in me.
Now, I am far from perfect and I know I should go to church more often – but I am not a hypocrite. I do not fake the funk, and I strive to be a better person as I grow. The Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father I was taught about loved all, helped those who try to help themselves, and embraced all the flaws of humanity. But most church folks got their nose up, that they negate the true principles of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.
Check us out Thursday September 18th, we will continue to rant and rave about this juicy and controversial topic! Until than…peace and take care!!
Miz D!
