Helen Thomas, a veteran news wire reporter, Hearst Newspaper columnist, member of the White House Press Corps and best-selling author on "Best Of!' Judy Joy Jones Shows. Picture of she & President Obama, celebrating same birthday, sitting on the front row; Helen's permanent seat at White House press conferences! Helen served for 57 years as a correspondent and, later, White House bureau chief for United Press International. Ms. Thomas has covered every president since John F. Kennedy. She was also the first female officer of the National Press Club, as well as the first female member – and president – of the White House Correspondents Association.
