Could not get into the show "domestic violence" to comment, so i was listening from the outside and am thankful that you are doing this type of subject. I deal with violence and abuse but on the working environment towards gender. Representing workers and also supporting them with personal emotions that becomes unmanageable. Building self confidence is important in dealing with all life issuses. Thanks for sharing your awareness here at BTR.

    “Citizen Diplomat” - Martin Regusters

Martin Regusters-Leaping Lion photographySPECIAL GUEST: Philadelphia Photographer Martin Regusters becomes “Citizen Diplomat” Prize-winning photographer selected to represent Philadelphia. For nearly 30 years Martin Regusters, Leaping Lion Photography, has been one of the city’s most prolific photographers. Training his lens on neighborhoods, government, corporate leaders, civic protests and social gatherings, he has chronicled a slice of Philadelphia life that cuts across age, gender and ethnic background. Martin's legacy and passion of capturing distinctive photographs have been featured in dozens of local and national newspapers, magazines, brochures, and printed literature of every description. Those lucky enough to book him for a “shoot” have discovered a practiced professionalism and easy humor that contribute to the success of any project. That combination of professionalism and personality make Regusters a perfect pick for his next assignment as “ Citizen Diplomat” in Poland. This month, Regusters will travel to Torun, Poland to participate in “Torun in the Twin Lens,” a “diplomatic mission” that will bring together nine photographers from across the globe for a weeklong learning, photographing and networking opportunity. Sponsored by the International Visitors Council of Philadelphia (IVC), an international relations organization, Regusters will represent Philadelphia as a Citizen Diplomat. What is Sarcoidosis?

Sarcoidosis (sar-koy-DO-sis) is a disease of unknown cause that leads to inflammation. It can affect various organs in the body. Normally, your immune system defends your body against foreign or harmful substances. For example, it sends special cells to protect organs that are in danger. These cells release chemicals that recruit other cells to isolate and destroy the harmful substance. Inflammation occurs during this process. Once the harmful substance is destroyed, the cells and the inflammation go away. In people who have sarcoidosis, the inflammation doesn't go away. Instead, some of the immune system cells cluster to form lumps called granulomas (gran-yu-LO-mas) in various organs in your body SPECIAL GUEST:Debbie Durrer, Executive Director of the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research Check out www.stopsarcoidosis.org. SPECIAL GUEST: Andrea Wilson. After nearly eight years of misdiagnosis, Andrea Wilson learned she had sarcoidosis. If the disease has weakened her physically, it has also strengthened her resolve to help others who suffer. She co-founded the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research in 2000.SPECIAL GUEST: Dr. Marc Judson is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Director of the Sarcoidosis Center at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.SPECIAL GUEST: Lynn Short is the Executive Director of the Sarcoid Networking Association.
