Could not get into the show "domestic violence" to comment, so i was listening from the outside and am thankful that you are doing this type of subject. I deal with violence and abuse but on the working environment towards gender. Representing workers and also supporting them with personal emotions that becomes unmanageable. Building self confidence is important in dealing with all life issuses. Thanks for sharing your awareness here at BTR.

    Living with Lupus

WHAT IS LUPUS?: Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can affect various parts of the body, including the skin, joints, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys and brain. These foreign materials are called antigens. In an autoimmune disorder like lupus, the immune system cannot tell the difference between foreign substances and its own cells and tissues. The immune system then makes antibodies directed against itself. These antibodies -- called "auto-antibodies" (auto means 'self') -- cause inflammation, pain and damage in various parts of the body. **SPECIAL GUEST: Mercedes Scelba-Shorte, 2004 runner up for America's Next Top Model tv show and spokesperson for the Lupus Foundation of AmericaMercedes Scelba-Shorte, a finalist from America's Next Top Model and a spokesperson for the Lupus Foundation of America. **SPECIAL GUEST: Annette Myarick is the CEO for the Lupus Foundation of America’s Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter. **SPECIAL GUEST: In 2000, Margaret Dowd directed the launch of the Lupus Research Institute, the nation’s nonprofit organization solely dedicated to novel research in lupus.Lupus Research Institute logoDowd oversees the comprehensive delivery of patient services, education, public awareness and funding for research in lupus.
