She was awarded the prestigious Leeway Foundation grant to create: www.blacksurvivors.org, a national, online support group and online resource center for black sexual abuse survivors. She is also the author of "Creating a New Normal: Cleaning Up a Dysfunctional Life," a book that chronicles her own healing from sexual abuse. ***Special Guest: Ashley-Michelle Papon is a 24-year-old survivor of acquaintance rape. She took part in the documentary "Swimming Upstream" in 2003 and organizing the first Take Back the Night at Kansas City Kansas Community College in 2006. She also serves as a member of the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network's Speakers Bureau and contributed to their recent book release, "Yes, You Do Know One of Us," available for purchase on the Barnes&Noble Website.
