The mission of WOCN is to provide and enhance leadership capacity and resources that promote the activities of women of color advocates and activists within the Sovereign Nations, the United States and U.S. Territories to address the elimination of violence against women and families. (http://womenofcolornetwork.org/wocn.html) AND SPECIAL GUEST: Juan Carlos Areán works as a senior program director for the Family Violence Prevention Fund. He has devoted the last 18 years to engaging men across different cultures to become better fathers, intimate partners and allies to end domestic violence and achieve gender equity. For over a decade, he worked with abusive men at the Men's Resource Center for Change. He also worked as a sexual assault prevention specialist at Harvard University. Mr. Areán is co-author of various articles, curricula and educational tools for men and an a trainer.
