In 1998 the new president of the American Psychological Association revealed his startling goal and vision to the members of his profession. Instead of psychologists focusing on negative mental states – depression, obsession, neurosis, anxiety, etc. – he suggested that they explore a different theme – happiness. What makes people happy? What makes the human heart sing? How do happy people think? What makes a person optimistic and happy?
Thousands upon thousands of people have been, and still are, involved in many different research studies on happiness. Join Beverly Nadler, to find out the results of this ongoing research.
