The Spring Cleaning Beverly refers to is really “detoxification.” Considering the amount of toxins in our food, water, air, cleaning supplies, skin care products, etc., it’s amazing that most people function without doing any kind of detoxification. That’s because our body has a wonderful detoxification system – liver, kidneys, lungs, colon and skin. However, because we’re bombarded with toxins almost daily (thanks to chemistry and technology – neither of which we can, or want to, eliminate), our detoxification system becomes overloaded and incapable of handling all the toxins. That’s why there are so many detoxification products and programs. How can you know what’s right for you? And what about your mind? Considering all our fears, stresses, anxieties, worries, etc., we also collect mental and emotional “garbage” on a daily basis. What can we do about this? What’s a healthy “spring cleaning” for our mind?
