Ed Skoog was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1971, and is the author of Rough Day (2013) and Mister Skylight (2009), as well as three chapbooks--Tool Kit (1996), L'Allegro and Il Penseroso (2000), and Field Recordings (2004)--and poems in The Paris Review, Ploughshares,American Poetry Review, Poetry, Threepenny Review, The New Republicand Narrative. He graduated from Kansas State University and holds an MFA from the University of Montana. He worked at New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, and Idyllwild Arts Academy. He lives in Seattle, and is currently a visiting professor at the University of Montana.
