Most small business owners work hard for many years to build their reputation and the quality of their product or service, and they pride themselves in their special brand of customer service. Unfortunately, the majority give little thought to whether their company has equity that can be sold to someone else so they may "cash in" on all their sweat equity down the road. In this episode, you'll discover the biggest mistakes business owners make in their climb to the top of the entrepreneurial ladder and the key areas you need to focus on in order to ensure a fantastic retirement one day!

Within the last 20 years, Lynda McNutt Foster has built, operated, and sold successful companies including Best Pest Control, Inc. (to Terminix International) and McNutt & Associates, Inc., a highly respected advertising agency.  She has also worked for a local network affiliate, ABC-13, in Roanoke, VA, and was the Director of Client Marketing Strategies for Wheeler Broadcasting (Q99, Star Country, K92, WFIR, and VIBE).

Lynda is the founder and President of Synergy Sessions, a growth environment for expanding small business owners, and President of Synergize My Business, a marketing company dedicated to small businesses.

She is an authority in major goal setting and achievement and has helped businesses be more efficient and profitable using her proven approach and creative style.  Lynda uses the latest successful techniques across a multi-platform of social media, internet marketing, and mass media to achieve results for the clients her company serves.

Lynda was the 2009 Small Business Advocate of the year as awarded by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce in Virginia.
