Call in to speak with the host
As a follow-up to our recently concluded 8-Part series in which we had rebroadcast tips from the enterprising non-profits organization on establishing and running a social enterprise, starting this week I am pleased to share with you actual case studies from the enp Social Enterprise Stories series.
In this first installment, we will be sharing the Free Geek story.
Free Geek is a non-profit community organization that reduces the environmental impact of waste electronics by reusing and recycling donated technology. Through community engagement they provide education, job skills training, Internet access and free or low cost computers to the public. They are one of a dozen autonomous Free Geek organizations located throughout the U.S. and Canada. The original Free Geek was founded in Portland, OR, in 2000.
It's good to talk.
