Today we begin to talk about our real work.  We will begin to hit the streets and do what it takes to wake up our Black Community, beginning with the Black Church.  Black America is destroying itself and the work of our Black Founding Fathers (our beloved Civil Right Pioneers) while we all sit and look.  I don’t understand, knowing what it took to get us here why we have allowed ourselves to settle for the symbols of power without true knowledge of the roots of power. I love Los Angeles and what it means for me.  I left in 1994 in the hopes of building my business, my marriage and my family.  My goal was to raise children away from the ghetto bird, the crackheads and poor education and to give my children a better life.  I think I did it! But what did I come back to?  A place where, like most communities, the Blacks are buyers never owners and the wealthy have that “I got mine, too bad about you” mentality.  I also found a Black Muslim community that quotes the problems but no solutions.  And last but not least I found old Black people who are just worn out and tired, just happy to see a Black President in their lifetime. To my surprise, I also found a tiny fraction of Black Youth, who feel much like I do and willing to risk life and limb to foster change.  Tonight I will discuss what the last two months have brought me, sleeping in my car, sleeping at a local Mc Donald’s and the BLESSINGS God will bring if you are willing to risk it all and “dwell in the secret place of the most high”. The Voting Rights Act ! In the century following Reconstruction, African Americans in the South faced overwhelming obstacles to voting. Despite the Fifteenth and Nineteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, which had enfranchised black men and women, southern voter registration boards used poll taxes, literacy tests, and other bureaucratic impediments to deny African Americans their legal rights. Southern blacks also risked harassment, intimidation, economic reprisals, and physical violence when they tried to register or vote. As a result, African Americans had little if any political power, either locally or nationally. In Mississippi, for instance, only five percent of eligible blacks were registered to vote in 1960. Then we have the LARGEST and OLDEST BLACK ORGANIZATION in America, the Black Church with a spot on EVERY CORNER but closed Monday through Friday.  When it should be full of Saints doing God’s work it has become a place full of judges, actors and entertainers.  Passivity is also a sin and a shame and the THING most of us do.  We passively sit by, talk, tweet and Facebook everything as if that’s DOING something.  How much longer will we continue to be this way? We will discuss this issue and how unfair and unjust it is not only to our children but to America as a whole. In 30 or 40 years, we will be the dumbest nation on the planet if we keep this up. The White girl gets 20 Meal tickets for being kidnapped and raped by another White man less than one year after they find her ass in the back yard. It was the same back yard that the Black neighbors tried to make dumb ass CALI Law Enforcement aware of long before the check got written. And what do we have for the community of Oakland and the Black family who lost their son unjustly just over a year ago? ; RIOT GEAR and those same cops who kill unjustly. Something new just today, we will get information on how the daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Luther Jr. indicates Planned Parenthood is targeting Black women in low income communities. I will also discuss my shear delight for the students and the families where ALL the teachers were recently FIRED due to the low performance of the school. The teachers make in excess of $70,000 per year plus benefits in a community where all the students in live poverty and failing academically.
