Mondays will be dedicated to bringing awareness to MS and encouragement and resourses to those who are challenged with it.

We will be working hand in hand with The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Today we have JAYAH FAYE PALEY, Author, Fitness & Wellness educator and AFAA & ACE-certified Personal Trainer, is the creator of two award-winning  pole-training DVDs called: POLES for Hiking, Trekking & Walking and POLES for Balance & Mobility.

Through her company, AdventureBuddies, Jayah leads hiking, walking and fitness seminars for National and State Park Associations, and other health-related organizations around the country.  As a mobility coach, Jayah has trained users and physical therapists how to use poles to achieve, maintain and even regain mobility for hiking and walking.   She has written courses that provide continuing education credits for personal trainers and which help medical professionals teach people these skills.  Jayah is a Sierra Club leader and a breast cancer survivor who founded and helps run the Lymphedema Education, Exercise & Prevention Group through California Pacific Medical Center Hospital in San Francisco.

Her training website www.PolesforMobility.com  focuses on helping people to achieve, maintain, even regain mobility and to more safely and completely enjoy their outdoor experiences.  Jayah volunteers at support groups all over the county to help people with MS, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy and lymphedema.    If you run an MS support group and would like to explore PoleWalking,  Jayah welcomes your email through her website PolesForMobility.com or you can ask a PoleWalking question via her Facebook page at Facebook.com/PoleWalking
