Host John Craig will speak with Joop Rubens, a development officer at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Paul Lubeck, a professor of sociology at UCSC. The topic is the UCSC alumni fund-raising event at the UC Center in Washington, DC, this Thursday evening. Presenting at the event will be Dana Priest, a UCSC alum who is now a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer at the Washington Post. Dr. Lubeck is the founder of the Global Information Internship Program (GIIP) at UCSC. GIIP teaches the next generation of social advocates to use technology and entrepreneurship in their campaign for a just and sustainable world.
