In 2009, Lloyd founded Altamont Strategies, a company offering customization and structure to development and advocacy campaigns for candidates for public office and non-profit organizations. Lloyd also co-owns Altamont Solutions, Inc., a custom software company in the health care and life sciences industry. Her interest in public policy and strategic planning spans decades. She was previously appointed by two U.S. Presidents to serve in the federal executive branch at the U.S. Departments of Labor and Agriculture, served as special assistant to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole, a staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives, a state appointee on the California Coastal Commission, and as a 2008 candidate for California legislature.
