it was an interesting show dealing with btu's , kilowatt hours, and efficiency of things.
It touched on why hydrogen might not be what everyone is saying..
Date / Time: 3/23/2007 2:13 AM UTC
One thing I failed to mention was that using hydrogen as a fuel in an internal combustion engine can cause cracks in the metal. This is a reoccurring observation of many.
I also failed to mention some encouraging results from compressed air cars that appear to be
as viable as battery powered cars with far less worry about heavy metal contamination in the ground. The downside of such vehicles that store all of the energy with tanks or batteries is the risk of a sudden release of this energy in the advent of a catastrophic crash. This also applies to fly wheel powered vehicles. The ability to burn the oxygen from the air is
a plus in terms of safety.
